I was on the treadmill with the iPod in full blast and did not realize that it was happening in the first 10-15 seconds. Anyway, just report that Talca seems to be okay (at least in my apartment complex): electricity, water, internet, cell phone are all okay.

We felt it here down in the Temuco area. I noticed it right away, but wasn't sure at first.

Santiago Centro here - a long slow shake, but no ill effects. Upset the cats though, the little one wants to go out and start a fight with somebody. ( She loves to fight)

Strangely shaken up here in the campo east of Curico. Perhaps its the lingering memories of 2010! But all is well and the good old house is still in one piece ... Please God, no more ... we'll try to behave better from now on ...OK ???? Hope the rest of you are OK too.

We were getting dinner together and noticed the kitchen door swinging back and forth against the doorstop. Then things went woozy like in 2010 and we felt a bit seasick. Went outside and watched the street light moving around. Didn´t think any more about it until we sat down to dinner and saw breaking news on the BBC about a 7.2 in Chile. Felt a bit silly we had to find out from the BBC.

Strange, I'm watching the USGS feed and there are no aftershocks. Is this a foreshock to a bigger one in the coming days?
